Hi all,

Would like some advice on two 2k lists I've written, I want them to be strong and cheesey for tournament play (me and my AoS buddies are all doing it so I'm not being an ass!), I would like to stick to Skaven if possible but I'm open to all suggestions.

List 1:

Leaders
Skaven Warlord
Verminlord Warbringer
- General

Units
Clanrats x 20
Clanrats x 30
Clanrats x 20
Stormvermin x 30
Ratling Gun Weapon Team x 1
Warpfire Thrower Weapon Team x 1
Warpfire Thrower Weapon Team x 1
Stormfiends x 3

War Machines
Warp Lightning Cannon

Batallions
Verminus Clawpack

Total: 2000/2000

List 2:

Leaders
Skaven Warlord
Screaming Bell
Verminlord Warbringer

Units
Stormvermin x 20
Clanrats x 30
Clanrats x 20
Clanrats x 20
Warpfire Thrower Weapon Team x 1
Warpfire Thrower Weapon Team x 1
Ratling Gun Weapon Team x 1

War Machines
Warp Lightning Cannon
Warp Lightning Cannon

Batallions
Verminus Clawpack

Total: 2000/2000

I'm feeling like list 1 with the Stormfiends is stronger however I love the Screaming Bell model......but this is about cheese and filth.

Any help would be appreciated, even if you tell me both lists are garbage and throw something completely different into the mix! Thanks in advance.

List 1 looks solid to me, though be sure to take two crowns of command since you will need the extra inspiring presence. Obviously you want to go full warpfire projectors on the stormfiends and swap out the ratling gun for another warpfire thrower, models permitting. I'd strongly recommend getting a jezzail team in place of the warp lightning cannon since they do the 'artillery' job much better than actual skaven artillery.

If money/models is no object the Skryrefyre list is among the best in the game, but I am assuming that isn't an option here for those reasons.

Thank for the reply! I'll look into swapping out the cannon for jazziels and I already have plenty of warpfire thrower models so can swap that in.

What is the SkyreFyre list? Whilst I don't have unlimited funds I have a shed load of stuff to sell that can fund anything I'd need!

-Clan Skryre Battalion (two Gautfyre Skorch Enginecovens)
-Arch Warlock
-Warlock Engineer
-Warlock Engineer
-Stormfiends x3 (warpfire projectors)
-Stormfiends x3 (warpfire projectors)
-Stormfiends x3 (warpfire projectors)
-2 Warp Grinders
-5 Warpfire Throwers

The battalion is a little complex, but the relevant part is this:
"Instead of setting up a Gautfyre Skorch Enginecoven on the battlefield, you can place it to one side and declare that it is constructing an elaborate network of tunnels beneath the surface. In any of your hero phases, the Enginecoven can surface under the watchful eye of its Warlock Engineer. Set up one of the Warp-Grinder Weapon Teams anywhere on the battlefield, then set up each other unit from the Enginecoven within 8" of it. Any unit that is set up within 3" of the enemy suffers D6 mortal wounds."

Emphasis mine. This lets you deploy your entire army (save the Arch-Warlock) anywhere on the battlefield guaranteed, then move, then spit out a rough average of 50 mortal wounds from shooting, then charge if need be. If you get second turn (likely given that you have a single-drop deployment) then you also have a 50% chance of double-turning and dropping another ~50 mortal wounds in case your first turn wasn't enough. Its only real counter is a soft one in the form of Bonesplittaz who have a high enough wounds count to tank the hits, but that can be adapted to by arming one stormfiend unit with shock gauntlets instead of warpfire projectors (this will lower your mortal wound output but dramatically increase regular wound output in melee).
