Hi all,
What's the most epic/memorable gaming moment you've ever had? I don't play much but I can say that the one gaming moment where a Daemon Prince had swooped in, landed cinematically and proceeded to massacre a bunch of guardsmen but was taken out by concentrated fire from heavy weapons teams and a squad of meltavets who had rolled out of a Chimera was pretty cool. Maybe I'll get in an epic bayonet charge soon What about you?

I was playing the scenary 1 of the Bada War. Lamenters and Mantis Warriors vs Red Scorpions.

One squad of Red Scorpions was closing to the objective, my only squad of Mantis Warriors was defending it. The Red Scorpions assaulted my possitions, the 5 five Mantis managed to kill the 10 Scorpions. The Sergeant killed their Sergeant-Apothecary but after the combat, he was the only survivor.

He ran to cover while Scorpions reinforcements get close. The sergeant shooted twice is bolt pistol, destroying a Land Speeder.

At the end of the battle the Sergeant was the only one defending the objective, giving me the victory.

How did you manage to shoot a pistol twice?? Unless it was over two turns?

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

It was 3rd Ed, the Eye of Terror Codex was about to come out but the Ulthwe Strike Force army list had somehow gotten leaked early.

Anyway, we wanted to try it out.

My friend took 2050 points of Ulthwe (or thereabouts). I took a Callidus Assassin. Did I take anything else? Yes, I had about 1850 points worth of Guard to go with that Callidus assassin, but they don't matter. They did not participate in the game.

For turn after bloody turn my Callidus assassin held off the Ulthwe as they arrived from the Wraith Gate (or whatever it was called), hemming them into a corner of the battlefield behind some LOS blocking terrain that stopped the rest of my army from doing anything. It stunned/shook units of Vypers/War Walkers, it jumped in and out of combat with Black Guardian units where necessary - it never let up, and suffered a single wound from a solid War Walker kick.

It literally held off an Eldar army by itself.

I've never had anything like that happen before or since.

Oh my. That's amazing.

Back in early 5th I had a Broadside shoot and wreck a GK Stormraven through smoke. Me and my opponent were surprised. He still wiped the floor with me but that was an epic moment. I dont have very many good moments in 40k as I haven't played that many games and I am terribad at it.
