Anyway, I've got the next article thought out with a focus on the evils of magic but can't think of any good canon stories involving magic gone wrong or corrupted mages.

Well there's the incident in Balance of Power where the Nurgle mage character is trying to siphon life force from his apprentices to keep himself alive during a major battle, but they respond by cutting themselves off and it screws him.
