Hello all! We've recently started playing 40k Kill Teams using the Heralds of Ruin rules. I'm curious to see what everyone thinks of the below list...

[LEADER] Ordo Xenos Interrogator (15)
* w/ Plasma Pistol (10)
[CORE] 5-man Warrior Accolyte Squad (20)
* w/ Carapace Armour (10)
* w/ Hot-shot Lasguns (5)

[CORE] 5-man Warrior Accolyte Squad (20)
* w/ Carapace Armour (10)
* w/ Hot-shot Lasguns (5)
[SPECIAL] Inquisitorial Medic (20)
[SPECIAL] Inquisitorial Medic (20)
[SPECIAL] Death Cult Assassin (15)
[SPECIAL] Death Cult Assassin (15)
[SPECIAL] Death Cult Assassin (15)

It's a total of 26 models. The 5-man Warrior Acolyte Squads actually have the Squad (5) rule, so they run as a traditional unit and not as individual models. They're basically cheaper versions of Scions. They get the 4+ armour save and the hot-shot lasgun (18" S3 AP3 Rapid Fire), but are only BS3. Then again, they're only 7 points each as built.

The idea is to run two units of Warrior Acolytes forward, each supported by a Medic for the FnP (5+) 6" bubble. I'll try to keep the Medics out of sight. As the Warrior Acolytes take casualties, the Medics will fall back to the 'reserve units' of Acolytes. The Interrogator is really just there as the required Leader guy. He'll stay out of sight and just coordinate the attack. The Death Cult Assassins will run forward, hiding in terrain and try to take out key opponents OR rush in for the head stomping (more or less) auto-kill against knocked down or stunned opponents.

Thoughts? I know I'll have real trouble against literally anything with an AV value, but the plan there would be to ignore vehicles and simply attack everything else. I also know I'd have problem against a 2+ save, but I don't anticipate facing more than one or two 2+ save models per opponent list. You just can't fit too much 2+ save in a 250 point list.

No, this is Heralds of Ruin. A fan-made Kill Team supplement.

You can Google Heralds of Ruin and you'll find the rules. It's about 1000 times more balanced than the 40k Kill Team rules. Lots more options, too. It also includes a campaign mode where you can grow your Kill Team over time.
