Hey all,
I've done my run with double Defenders so now I'm trying to figure out my next list and I got intrigued by the potential of Kath Scarlet (imperial version) combined with the hotshot co-pilot crew as a stress-dealer & token-stripping nightmare.
But the Firespray isn't a cheap ship, and the builds I'm contemplating run to about 50 points so I'm struggling to figure out how to fill out the list.
My first idea runs something like this:
=========
Red Scare
=========
100 points
------
Kath Scarlet (48)
Firespray-31 (38), Ion Pulse Missiles (3), Calculation (1), Hotshot Co-pilot (4), Slave-1 (0), Guidance Chips (0), Extra Munitions (2)
Colonel Vessery (35)
TIE Defender (35), Juke (2), TIE/x7 (-2)
“Epsilon Ace” (17)
------

I gave Kath ion pulse missiles because with g-chips, it's a guaranteed crit roll at R3 and doesn’t spend the lock so it either hits and ions or misses and deals stress ... and either way, Vessery has the
TL to boost his own attack. And likely gets extra damage through with juke against a focus- free opponent.
Epsilon Ace is there as a 2nd
TL vehicle who moves last so can grab a
TL against aces when Kath is out of range for the first round of shooting.
But I'm not completely sold on the support ships... or the Kath build for that matter.
For example, the combination of g-chips, Calculation and cluster missiles offers the chance to double stress (or push a good amount of damage)... but for that, do I need the extra Munitions? I kinda feel like Kath isn't all that likely to fire the missiles twice.
There's also the option of something like this:
==================
100 points
------
Kath Scarlet (46)
Firespray-31 (38), Calculation (1), Hotshot Co-pilot (4), Slave-1 (0), Guidance Chips (0), Plasma Torpedoes (3)
Maarek Stele (32)
TIE Advanced (27), TIE/x1 (0), Push the Limit (3), Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1), Advanced Targeting Computer (1)
Omega Squadron Pilot (22)
TIE/
fo Fighter (17), Comm Relay (3), Juke (2)
-------
For this one Kath uses the torps to strip shields/tokens (or deals stress) and Maarek follows up with crits and the Omega piles on. I'm kind of liking this Maarek build- almost as survivable as a Defender x7 (though less maneuverable) but cheaper and with a built-in critical generator to trigger his pilot ability.
What do you think?
