I've got two standard LRBTs that I haven't assembled the turrets for fully and I wanted advice on two things. First, what's the easiest way to make interchangeable turrets? I've looked at them and I'm not sure how I'd go about magnetizing them. Any advice?

Secondly, I can't find punisher cannons anywhere. These are from the get started boxes and thus don't have demolisher or punisher, the two weapons I actually want outside of the battle cannon. I wouldn't have a problem just using the battle cannon minus the extension as a demolisher, but what can I do for a punisher? The bit is impossible to find online (and even then I'm not going to spend $15 on one), so what's an appropriate way to model it? I'm not the best at custom conversions, but would it be possible to use an assault cannon and make it fit in the battle cannon/vanquisher cannon hole? Then I can alternate easily between the 4 models I want. Just not sure how I can do it just yet. Again, any advice?

There's a lot of appeal for the Punisher, there's no doubt about that.

I'm actually going to be developing my own variant of the Punisher for my squadron of three. Well, just for the Command tank in the unit (all my squadron commands will be special variants)

The design is based on another CIWS design, the Spanish Meroka, which instead of having a singular chaingun uses twelve 20mm single barrels individuallly fed and fired in three-gun volleys for the same rate of fire with a bit more stable firing solution.


Conversely, if you wanted to do similar, you could widen the mantlet/gun mount on your Punisher design a bit and use, say, a handful of Imperial Knight Heavy Stubber barrels in parallel to get a similar visual effect.

While that's nice it reminds me a bit too much of the autocannon variant, and I definitely prefer the minigun/gatling gun look. The "brrrrrrrrt" sound is what I'm looking for in my punisher.

I made my own punisher cannons out of styrene tubing.

10mm for the outer sleeve and muzzle shroud.
3mm for the inner barrels (x7). 3 in the middle, 2 on top and bottom. The 10mm tube has an internal diameter of 9mm, which just fits the cluster of 7 tubes into it.



1 razor saw and a small mitrebox. Some leftover sprue from a vehicle kit holds it all together at the bottom.

I went with a Predator TLLC turret and a pair of assault cannon for mine.

Don't know why it didn't click for me earlier. He's actually got a few sizes of Gatling Cannon options, from smaller like an Assault Cannon, up to the size for things like a Macharius Vulcan concept.
