In the haze of pre Christmas buying I've been planing a lot of hybrid 1ksons/demons lists. The more I do, the more I think pure Tzeentch demons is just better. How does this look?

Lord of Change - ML3, Paradox
Herald of Tzeentch - ML3, Disc, Exalted Reward (Grimoire of True Names)
Herald of Tzeentch - ML3, Disc, Endless Grimoire
Herald of Tzeentch - ML3, Oracular Dais

Pink horrors - 11
Pink horrors - 11
Pink horrors - 11

Flamers of Tzeentch - 3
Flamers of Tzeentch - 3
Flamers of Tzeentch - 3

Screamers - 9

Burning Chariot
Burning Chariot
Burning Chariot

That's 1750 points. Lord of Change knows all powers of the Change discipline and is guaranteed to cast WC3 powers on 5 dice, so when the chariots and flamers die, he has no trouble summoning them back, as well as reliable strength D.

Standard screamerstar to run interference. Rolling on malefic for cursed earth and the ability to summon horrors and screamers for when they are destroyed. Once I hit cursed earth, switching over to divination for prescience or change for some shooting backup.

guaranteed 1 reserves roll success a turn so the flamers can drop and pop and he Lord of Change is protected from alpha strikes while only losing him for 1 turn.

This is 1750, so there's 100 points to play with before going to tournament level play.

Lacks fateweaver, but having the LoC able to mix it up in combat is a boon as far as i'm concerned.

How does the lord of change know all of the discipline? He is only ML3 so he will only know the three powers without the relic....which he cant take as he already has paradox...

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them

The Endless Grimiore Herald grants the WL all Tz powers. Ergo if his LoC is WL, he knows all powers.

I'd still prefer Robes on the LoC and Paradox on a Herald, though

Endless Grimoure reuires you to roll all your powers on Change to give the warlord all the Tz spells. Are you planning on doing so and has the restriction on taking all your spells from the change discipline been lifted? If not, you'd have to drop him to ML1, so you'd also have 50 more points to spend.

I completely agree with Galef that the robes are a much better choice, but the attraction of an assured Prismatic Gaze or Boon of Flame on 5 dice is strong. Do you really need the Orracular Dias? You could put the robes on the LoC and the Paradox on the herald. Not saying you should, just pointing out you could.

What, you don't like rolling dice to see how many dice you roll? Why are you such an anti-dice bigot?

I agree and both Drasius and Galef.

Also, be sure to use the new Tz Warpstorm. It seems safer than the standard Warpstorm w/o Fatey...

Live Ork, Be Ork. or D'Ork!
