I'm just getting into 30k and am looking to start an army. Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated!

I love the thought of 2 giant legion tactical blobs moving up the field. Pulling off a "fury of the legion" at BS5 with all those bolters sounds so epic to me, and that vision really is what got me thinking of getting into 30k.
I feel like the Leviathan and Scorpius are nasty units that would be really fun to play with as well, and could support my tactical squads. Sigismund is a really cool HQ and sounds fun on the field. I suppose he'd join a Tac Squad and make them super scary. I put power fists on the sgts because I feel like at 20 man size, they NEED to win the casualty war and will probably benefit greatly from some AP 2 hits. I dropped some upgrades like the dozer blade and extra armor from the scorpius, as it didn't seem necessary. It can stay hidden and use the nuncio voxes on the tac squads, etc. The dread is there to drop down next to armor and disrupt, and I felt the phosphex launcher didn't really mesh well with his anti-armor loadout, so I left it off. Thoughts on that?

Can't wait to see the model for Dorn with his mighty gigantic chain sword!!!

I'm pretty sure you can't have garro unless its a death guard army, or I could be confusing him with a different character. Other then that, looks like a good list.

Nope, any imperial loyalist army can use garro; in the 30k rules he's a knight errant by then, so he has no DG affiliation.

Ah you're right! I just looked at the second page of the FW rules (can't be a compulsory HQ and can't be the warlord) . Thanks for pointing that out. With that said, I've got to make some adjustments I suppose.

Ok, what about going up to 2000 points (after reading around, seems that this is the next "level" people really play most often?) and adding:

HQ
Legion Centurion - warlord, consul: siege breaker, cataphractii terminator armor (to confer slow and purposeful to the heavy support squad he'll join, seems good?)

Heavy
Heavy Support Squad (8) - lascannon x8, hardened armor, artificer armor sgt.

In 30k cataphractii plate does not have Slow and Purposeful, it has its own special rule.
Imperial Fists heavy support squads also get Tank Hunter from Legiones Astartes (Imperial Fists) so the siege breaker is unnecesary.
A chaplain or legion champion would fit the bill nicely or you could probably get away with two centurions with basic upgrades.

Other than that, I think you're fine.

Thanks a bunch for the reply. I'll take another look at the HQ choices again. (Who would have thought this would be the toughest part of the list ha!)

I would suggest a chaplain with a power axe, means one of your squads can be led by him and he has zealot and fear and the other can be lead by garro.
