I'm thinking of painting a new SM army, the 'Angels of Iron'.
Their chapter symbol is two crossed golden keys on a blue background.

Considering the absence of a decal, I will be looking at doing this symbol by hand and rather than paint it on (it's a bit fancy and looks like a bit of a challenge to paint well on a shoulder pauldron), I'm considering drawing it on with a pencil first and then tracing over that with a fine tip gold metalic Ink pen.

The finest tip I can find is linked below at 0.8mm.
Does anyone in Dakka-land know of a metalic ink pen brand that produces a finer tip, like 0.5mm?

Also is there another option that I haven't considered?

Idk about gold one but there's a bunch of 0.25-0.45mm black and sepia ones all over the place. Dick Blick are has a ton. Check the Sakura Pigma line stuff out.

Another option would be to create your own decals. This link should be useful if you take that route.
