Drawing the bulk of this list from a pair of start collecting and a battle force box, I'm hoping to build an army I can bring to my local shop and have a few fun games with while getting the hang of Tau units and 7th ed. The local meta seems to be a mix of everything with perhaps a slight tilt toward power armored forces. The current idea is to possibly create a Hunter Contingent using the Hunter Cadre at its base and an Optimized Stealth Cadre which eventually could be swapped for other formations such as Drone-net or Firebase support to try different approaches. I'm hoping the mobile midfield will make for more dynamic games than a static gunline.

My main objective is to create an all-comers list that will be both fun to play but also enjoyable to face, so semi-casual I guess? While my main concern is missing some obvious flaws or making a plain illegal list due to being unfamiliar with the force and formations. I'd greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions as far as other interesting formations or possible expansions toward 2k.

I like the list.

You actually can't have more then 10 breachers in a squad so nine guys and a sarge. You have 11.

No obvious flaws and no real wasted points. If you take it to 2k you might get another ghostkeel in your stealth cadre. Target lock for fusion blasters is nice. Bs2 over watch for ghostkeels is also good with their volume of fire.

Solid without relying on the riptide wing.

Thanks for taking the time to look things over!

Obviously one Breacher will need to go, which could just be solved by stocking up one of the strike teams by a single model. Alternatively I was thinking of dropping the fusion crisis with target lock as well providing enough points to add one more XV88 Broadside. At which point the question becomes whether to keep the solo fusion crisis or just move him into the plasma crisis team?
