My sisters of battle have a horrible loosing streak. They have several strong and character units [plus a land raider] but they just keep dropping like flies on the table top. Am I doing something wrong or am I just the worlds worst SOB player?

The new Impeiral agents player made me a sisters player YAy .. :\ . So here is my help. ->Drop your land raider, and the big blobs of characters. They are just not worth the point sink in an not that point efficient army. ->MSU like your life depends on it ->Invest in some outflanking melta stuff, and church organ tanks. You might also want to take a look at the new ways to field death cult assasins. Automatically Appended Next Post: Alternative option is to ally in some IG artillery. These complement sister armies quite well.

Check out the extensive Sisters tactics thread in that subforum... although not from the beginning; it goes back more than one edition. I've read the whole thing over the last few years and it has been invaluable. The people posting there are very experienced and have insights on every build. My sisters are far from dominant, but maintain a winning record in 7th despite some potent opposition in my game group (drop pod Marines, Necron Decurion, War Convocation, Wolfstars, suit-heavy Tau, etc.)
In general, you'll be more likely to win on objectives. Go for MSU and play the mission. Beyond that, what does your list look like, and who are your common opponents?

Their opponents are usually chaos marines in cityfight scenarios.

If by cityfight you mean lots of LOS-blocking ruins, you should be able to get your transports across the table easily enough, meaning you can pick your battles, choose your range, and fight from within your metal boxes... three things Sisters love. Bring tons of melta to double out most Marines... only Plague Marines will give you trouble. Your AoFs are probably at their best against CSM... PE gives you valuable extra wounds vs. a low model count army, Rending bypasses power armor, Ignores Cover deals with pesky bikes. Outmaneuver slow things like Terminators and Obliterators. Heldrakes are a problem... bring a stock Canoness on a Quad Gun, or just spread out to minimize template coverage and try to ignore them. Try to snuff your opponent's ObSec units and then outscore him on objectives.
With little to go on I'd imagine these are games you can win. Maybe give us sample lists from both sides?

If I was running CSM vs Sisters as my regular opponent, I'd bring lots of bodies. Your average CSM trooper severely outclasses a SoB trooper for just a few more points, and you're not winning an assault phase vs that, and you don't have the firepower to shoot them all to bits.
This may just be a case of your opponent's army being tailored to tear your SoB apart. In the above example (tons of CSM troopers), giving your forces mobility and coming in on reserves lets you choose to bring most of your army against a fraction of his. Dominate one end of the table ASAP and he may not be able to re-position to recover.
Also, yeah, lose the Land Raider, they seldom get their points back.

I got my butt kicked by Sisters the other day; granted he was making Shield of Faith rolls like the Emperor himself was watching from above.
The priest with the re-roll saves hymn really helped and he had Feel No Pain in some spots, not sure if that was a Warlord Trait or wargear etc...
He did have lots of bodies all in Rhinos or the Multi-Melta rhino/razorback thing, and 2 outflanking Pipe Organ tanks - with an assassin.
While I eventually killed most of his stuff his Obsec absolutely humiliated me on Maelstrom points.

Most of their problems are failing to make saves etc. They have wronged the Emperor, he's humbling them

Add in priests to get re-rollable armor saves in mellee. They become super tanky.

You've got a sub par codex that had stuff stripped out with the last update your missing tools other armies have, hopefully that'll change this year.

I've found that the more determined/adamant to kill a rhino/immolater my opponent is the more 6's I roll to save it. The same dice that will roll all 2's to armor save my precious 3+ sisters will deny literally all attempts until the opponent stops caring as much. It's so weird and has become a big joke in my local game shop.

I'm mostly going to echo what everyone else has said thus far. Sisters don't really have a good assault unit, so get rid of the Land Raider unit and the Land Raider with it. What Sisters do well is mech MSU. Battle Sisters squads can take 2 special weapons in a 5-Sister squad and ride around in an Immolator. That's some good stuff right there. Dominions are an excellent unit, though you might also take one unit of Seraphim as a Celestine delivery vehicle - Celestine is a good character, and should be able to beat up depleted units pretty handily. Exorcists are good at popping off elite low model count units, and Retributors for that turn of rending aren't bad - take the little portable shrine-on-a-pole upgrade for a second turn of rending. Elites are a wash for Sisters - none of them are very good. Sisters don't really have any good flashy units, but they do have very solid core units. Concentrate on those, and you should do well.
