Subject: [1850] - LBSF / Orbital Intervention Force
Thinking of building this as a TAC list but would like some help with what to do with 325 remaining points. Beef up the DC units? Add something in command?
+++Command+++
Death company chaplain 125
+++Core+++
Lost brotherhood
Death company chaplain 125
Death company 5 - power fist - jump packs 140
Death company 5 - power fist - jump packs 140
Death company 5 - power fist - jump packs 140
DC dread - talons - meltagun - heavy flamer - drop pod 180
+++Aux+++
Archangels Orbital Intervention Force
TAC terminators - assault cannon - chainfist 225
Assault terminators - TH + SS 225
Assault terminators - TH + SS 225
IMO, take another DC Chaplain in your command so all of your DC get re-rolls and add some more bodies to the DC squads. 5 guys is not all that hard to remove. Also, drop two TH/SS from each of the terminator squads to help with blending lighter targets. My 1850 DC list is similar to this:
Lost Brotherhood Strike Force Core - Death Company Strike Force
- Death Company Chaplain - 160
-- The Gilded Crozius, Teleport Homer
- Death Company Dreadnought - 135
-- Blood Talons
- Death Company Squad (9) - 257
-- Jump Packs, 2x Power Fists, 2x Bolters
- Death Company Squad (7) - 186
-- Jump Packs, 1x Power Fist, 1x Bolter
- Death Company Squad (7) - 186
-- Jump Packs, 1x Power Fist, 1x Bolter
Command - Death Company Command
- Death Company Chaplain - 140
-- Teleport Homer, Melta Bombs
- Death Company Chaplain - 140
-- Teleport Homer, Melta Bombs
Auxiliary - Archangels Orbital Intervention Force
- Terminator Assault Squad - 215
-- 2x Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield, Sergeant (Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield)
- Terminator Assault Squad - 215
-- 2x Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield, Sergeant (Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield)

powerful TS don't get an extra attack from bolt pistols as CCW weapons since it's a specialist weapons. IMHO do not take the Orbital Intervention Force. It is way too expensive and murders your points. The stormraven or Lucifer armoured task force is cheaper point wise. If you want to deep strike into close combat take the golden host much better point for point especially with D6 scatter alowing you to melta something or blender something in close combat. Terminators are bad and over priced, taking a high number of them for a chance at alpha strike that you still have to roll reserves on is blasphemy.

Thanks for the list! Why the x1 bolter?
The Power Fists are specialist weapons, and so don't get +1A for 2xccw. The DC are relentless so can still charge after firing rapid fire weapons so the boltgun on the powerfist guy gives an extra shot before charging, with no drawbacks.

So the OIF isn't exactly the best formation and terminators are pretty poor, but they look cool and it's a fun thing to do. The bangles aren't exactly a top tier army right now anyway so why not have some fun with them and field some cool units?

Honestly wouldn't play the game if I have to play storm ravens just not my style and would like to have fun with my minis painting and playing . At least the terminators can charge and shoot twice. However the Lucifer task force is pretty sweet

To win? The game is fun to play but at some point you're going to want to win and that formation won't help to make that happen. Is is for list sharing, unless said otherwise it's perceived to be to win in a competitive way and the OP didn't say just for fun, non-competetive, or balanced.

The armored task force is very fun and can wreck and unexpected army. Whether you take it or not there are better ways to finish out this list without the AOSF.

I personally prefer LBSF + IK. Take the scouts and MM attack bikes and such from the LBSF and forget other formations. That gives your whole army a ton of extra movement.

If I add the armored task force what should I do with the land raider? Can a squad of non jump DC pile in? U sure because of the formations
