I'm going to a tournament and wondered whether or not it would cut it.

Leaders:

Gordrakk 700pts.
2x Warchanter's with talismans. 160pts.

Battleline:

10x ardboyz with 2 choppas. Waaaghbanner and drummer
20x ardboyz with big choppas. Waaghbanner and drummer.
6x gore-grunts with choppas.
5x brutes with gore-choppa and clawbasha boss.

Ironfist batallion: 60pts.

The strategy relies on alpha striking the enemy and crushing them before they can react. Use ardboyz to bubblewrap special units and counter attack null deployment (up to a degree). I have enough heroes for 3-places, enough units for both blood and glory and the like.

Maybe drop the 10 ardboyz for 5 more brutes. Have gordrakk and the bores run up the middle followed up by ardboyz to cover a flank and you can have brutes cover the outside or be deployed to go fight monsters.

I've had success with my brutes terrorizing entire blocks of units and one shotting monsters like the Mortis engine and dealing 12 wounds to Big Goblin Spider.

Also think about putting these guys in the ironfist formation. Getting an extra d6 will help the goregruntas keep up with gordrakk with with 2d6 movement in the hero phase with 9" in the movement phase, a turn one charge is a very real possibility for goregruntas and i know gordrakk can also have that ability. Lastly, the formation would allow you to get close to gaurentee first time as you can drop the entire warscroll down at once. I've done something similar with dropping my heroes where they will get coverage for Destruction Trait and then placing accordingly my units.

I'm presuming the 'talisman' is the Talisman of Protection? If so, you're limited to one Artefact of Destruction in your army, plus one additional Artefact of Destruction for each Warscroll Battalion. Since I don't see any Warscroll Battalions listed, only one of your Warchanters could have a Talisman of Protection.

Good catch! Yes you definitely need a formation to get extra artefacts.

Might as well add an Ironfist, it can hold all of the troops you took anyway.

Which is what I intended to but utterly forgot to write down. I mean, that list is 1940pts without it. Still gonna try using 10 brutes, wanna run "big" squads for a chance.
