Alright, my googlefu is coming up blank and I've never really needed any. I'm after carnivorous plants and I'm not really in the mood to scratch build. Anyone know where some could be bought? Specifically ones that would fit on a 30mm base. The only models I've managed to find are in the Batman game Poison Ivy set, but it's pretty pricey for just the three plants.

Armorcast have some mantraps that might be of use.

There are some nice ones coming from Reaper in the Bones III releases, when and if they ever get here from far-off China.
There is also a critter in the Bones Deadlands releases that makes a good plant monster - the 'Desert Thing'
And Pingo, over on the Reaper boards, accidentally created a really nice one - from the tentacles of the Bones Kraken figure, and a flower like candle holder... (to hold the tentacles while the paint dried).
What is really cool is that the peg on the tentacles is big enough that she can pop it into the plant or the kraken - so can use the same figure for both!
WotC had a pre-painted plant monster in one of their D&D Miniatures releases - the 'Greenvise Vine' (About $5 US from Troll & Toad.)

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along. |

Oh wow, those plants in the poison ivy set are fantastic!
I was looking for something like this previously, and was not happy with any of the options. The Greenvise Vine looks very toy-like in person.
But the hexy-shop one that chromedog / MGS linked to is pretty sweet, too so you've got several good choices now!

Sodapop
I can vouch for these, the big ones is well ahead taller than a Space Marine Tactical. The rest of the models that come in the boxed game are pretty nice, for anime/chibi stuff. I'm not sure you can find them easily on their own though, the plant based ones.

There's no rule that says I can't. Hive Fleet Hercual - 6760pts

Some ideas:
Iron Wind Metals/ Ral Partha (Europe) - two versions: http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/shop/fantasy-warband-rpg-minis-28mm-c-181/monsters-and-beasts-c-181_206/gz401-carnivorous-plant-1-open-p-4114.html

Black Cat Bases and CP Models also have some plants.

What about getting some plastic terrarium plants? They wouldn't really require any more converting than cutting and sticking to bases, maybe making some grabby tendrils out of wire and greenstuff (which aren't too taxing, timewise). Found these on an Australian shop https://www.amazingamazon.com.au/zoo-med-venus-fly-trap.html. They even come with a detailed base which I'm sure could be put to some later use

These are exactly what I was looking for. More like aggressive vines and venus flytrap type things than straight up sentient plants. I think I'll be ordering these.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions too. Good to see such variety if you know where to look. I think this hobby really needs a good catalogue website that doesn't necessarily sell anything but has links to lots of obscure miniatures.

Those plants from Hexy do indeed look sweet, and better than anything I'd been able to find when I had looked previously. I emailed them asking how large they were since nothing on their site really indicated size and here's the picture they sent me for reference for others as well. Will be ordering some of these myself.
