Perhaps it's just an extremely hopeful 'Cron player lookin' for anything to justify new releases, but this FoC line seems to be GWs big push for new fluff and models. Could we possibly see some new Necron models for the Fall of Cadia? Discuss.

This is the first book of a new line. We don't know what will be happening.

What I'm guessing is that the second campaign book will involve Necrons waking up/arriving on Cadia to fight chaos, this will probably mean a new named character like the SoB, Inquis and Mechanicum will be getting with the first book.
My prediction right now is that the second book will have a Necron named character, an Eldar/Dark Eldar named character and an Ork named character. The second book would of course be the story of different Xenos coming to take part in the fight.
The third book (I would also guess the final 'fall of Cadia' title or perhaps even the 'battle of Terra' book) would moat likely be a chaos release with a new Abaddon model (please release Mortarian and Fulgrim as well!).
These are just my personal opinions on what we'll get based off of my observations.

New Flayed ones would be great, as I would like to avoid finecrap at all costs. Understandably, Necrons will most likely not be book one, as this is mostly a chaos/IG supplement. But a new Necron character would be a blessing IMHO.

I'm hoping for either the Void Dragon or the Silent King. Either would fill the Necron's need for a solid LoW.

IF they are releasing new models with this campaign... Surely it'd just be a plastic Trazyn as he is the one who is shown

The funny part is Chaos and IG don't really get diddly in it.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.
I have a problem.
Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Not in this book, but this is the first book of the campaign series.

I doubt it would be the Necrons waking up/arriving to fight Chaos. The big thing that seems to be the trend is not "rewriting history", but rather fleshing it out. During the 13th Black Crusade, we knew Necrons actually were on Cadia. They were focused on the Pylons...but nothing ever really came of it, even in the background book that accompanied the event. Going off that background book? The Necrons showed up, fought Chaos in a few areas on Cadia and the surrounding planets(mostly on planets near where the Blackstone Fortress was spotted) but never stayed long enough to turn the tide of battle. I understand that. That's even been my statement to people complaining about the lack of Chaos/ IG. Just pointing out that this book doesn't have anything for them.

I don't think they'll turn the tide but I do think they will be part of the campaign if nothing else than to just be able to put a Necron supplement (one character) in the book so now all Necron players have to buy the CSM campaign book (and the CSM players are going to buy even though it doesn't have any chaos stuff in it yet).
