Hey everybody,
Whats a better bet? Looking to get Nother superheavy in addition to my fellblade. Whats better? Getting a shadowsword and have the option to roll it with Pert, or to get a legion stormblade? Or fellgaive?

A typhon is the most Iron Warriors tank in the game.

Tormentor is the bane of all things. The Typhon is awesome but you can never go wrong with a good ol' Fellblade.
|
3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)
2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)
Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan! |

Tormentor not THAT great for its point... shadowswords are hardly OP. (It looks a little sad next to a fellblade I must say)
Typhon for Iron Warrior fluff, but it's pretty OP in 30k, depends how your group plays.
Glaive looks sexy as hell, always a good choice. I'd go with Tormentor to give you the option, or Typhon.
My group said of Tormentor; ''I thought: he's taking Perturabo so at least there wouldn't be a super heavy; I was wrong.''
Make of that what you will; I love to use Tormentor's bulk to hide my Damocles Rhino which combo's excellently with Perturabo / Iron Fire.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I will probably pick up both the tormentor and typhoon to give me options and for very fluffy onslaught options. Any fpuffbon what the tormentor looks like with variotions from standard guard pattern superheavy?

If you fancy something more esoteric as well as flexing your conversion muscles, then how about a Dominus Siege Bombard? Pretty brutal and would suit Iron Warriors quite well: 3-hit Strength 10, AP 3 Apocalyptic Barrage when stationary or a single Large Blast between 12 and 36 inches away if it moves.

Model does not exist yet?
The Tormentor is delicious and horrible. Counts as a dedicated transport, only it also gains the "Command Tank" upgrade, a single void shield, and a transport capacity of 15! (Access point in rear) all that for cheaper than it's base form (500 points) and does not take up a LOW slot. Oh my...

That's why I mentioned the flexing your conversion muscles part. Pity a proper model hasn't been done as I really like the Crassus hulled models. A beastly gun and it's only 6 hull points meaning you can field a detachment of them to boot.

yeah i agree about the tormentor. Def can flax my conversion ability with it as well to make it look legi9nesk as well as iron warriors rather then guard. Also cheaper then fw and plastic. Not bad. Def will have to get one. Also the typhon is sick.

Tormentor is cool and all, but it can't take sponsons or armored ceramite, as it comes pre-equipped with no upgrade options available. That is a bummer. And its single D cannon isn't bad and the Void shield does help it a bit, but really it isn't all that killer. Unless you want a Shadowsword and Perty in one list, as that would be the only way to manage it.
I would echo the sentiment of others who said grab a Typhon. It is different looking than the Fellblade and has a brutal gun on it.

Primarch's Chosen, now Perty and the Tormentor aren't even LoW choices, you can throw in two troops choices, grab an actual LOW and go party.

With primarchs chosen you cant take an actual Low. But effectively you will have two with pert and tormentor.
What about vindicator lasor destroyers? They seem badass in a squadron.

Pretty sure you aren't allowed to have anymore LOWs when you take a primarchs chosen rite of war?
