Subject: Need Help with alt minis for Tzeentch Daemons

I'm working on the 'Grand Order of the Hermetic Blades' Warcoven for the Thousand Sons, I am looking adding some daemons to my collection for summoning purposes. However I like to keep my armies within a theme that fits the army itself. So using the current models doesn't really work for me, the GOotHB are/were all about shepherding souls to the afterlife, so my though was that the daemons they summon would be the souls of those they are 'taking care of'. So my problem is how best to represent that, expecially when it comes to Horrors splitting.
So far I am looking at DE Mandrakes for flamers, not not sure about the rest. I've considered using Flagellants as one of the stages of Horror splits, but not sure which. Like I said, I like the idea of the daemons they summon representing the souls they've captured so i want to stick with this theme. Aside from the 3 stages of horrors, I also need to figure something out for Screamers, Chariots, and possibly a LoC (yes I know that it's getting a new mini, but it rolls against the theme I'm going for). Heralds, are probably going to be a supped up version of whatever I use for Pink Horrors, and Exhalted flamers will most likely be highly converted mandrake. Any help in this are is greatly appreciated.

I admit I'm not too familiar with the tiny horrors since they're a new thing, but have you considered a flying, flaming skull all Doom style?

There are some flying daemon skulls in John Blanche art, so using them would feel like true 40k .
Some other untested ideas:
- mixing and matching Skeleton parts, Tzeentchian horror style. I think it would be pretty easy to make 3 stages with them.
- Spirit Hosts (possibly cut to pieces, to have one ghost on one base).
- Dryads, painted in bone colours or ghostly bluish colours.
- Crypt Ghouls.
- Necrosphinx / Nagash for LOC?
And if you ever needed daemon princes, Morghast could work very well.

I'd say Skeletons or Spirit Hosts are your best bet.
Spirit Hosts can be cut to be any size they need to be (As Skybax said)
Skeletons becoming smaller as they split would probably require you to remove sections of their limbs to make them dwarfs (which would be funny, but not very practical). Maybe just have a torso that's dragging itself along because its previous 'death' was actually just the Skeleton being truncated.

Not getting very far with the idea of humanoid spirits as daemons, so I'm thinking of going a different direction. I'm considering using some tyranids as the base for several Tzeentch conversions. The idea would be along the lines of 'sand daemons'. I'm thinking a modified genestealer for the Pink horror, Hormagaunts for the blues, and maybe rippers for the brimstones. I'm also looking at other nids to use as daemon engines, trying to with a 'scarab' look to them. There's some intersting 'sand monster' ideas out there I am looking at playing with.
