I know the Glottkin is huge, but I wanted to use one as Great Unclean One since it has so much character to it, and it's very dynamic. Could use it in Age of Sigmar too.

If you were playing me, would you have any issue with it?

Nah, I wouldn't have a problem with it. You should ask your local group, though.

Personally, I'd be down. Also, if you can convince your group to let you do it now, you may be prepared when/if GW gives the bloodthirster size treatment to it like they are doing to the lord of change.

No issue whatsoever. Have fun with it, it's quite the model.

I wouldn't, except maybe as a purely practical matter if we were playing on a very small table.

You just really like the model. Not like you're using a smaller model to represent something much stronger.

There was a huge discussion that the Glottkin was SUPPOSED to be the GUO (before end times became real). Just leave off the characters and try to add a sword. Should be fine! Anyone disagreeing is likely just being disagreeable and chances are you'd be unhappy playing them anyway.

The Glottkin is not that much bigger than the FW GUO, so I don't see why someone would have an issue. Especially since bigger models get less cover, something that Daemons of Nurgle kinda don't really like. So you would be putting yourself at a disadvantage, which most players are ok with.

I am not sure if this is true, but I heard that the Glottkin was SUPPOSED to be the design of the GUO, but mid-design GW decided they needed a big scary chaos thing for the End Times that for some reason wasn't a Greater Daemon.

The Glotkin was supposed to be the GUO before they ruined the warhammer world.

He looks exactly like a GUO would look, anyone disagreeing to play against him can go get fethed IMO.

I'd be fine with it. Though I have been thinking of using mine as a Chaos Knight of Nurgle given his armament and size.

Somewhat. Look at the pictures I posted in the second post. The dude standing on the Glottkin is about the same size as the dude standing next to the GUO.

If the GUO were standing instead of squatting, then yes. They're the same. Or close enough in most people's book.

I'd be too busy being impressed by either of them to care, especially if they're well painted like that.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

It's pretty close is size to the FW GUO, but it is bigger than the GW model. Either way, you should encounter much resistance. As always, check with your opponent/TO.

The GW GUO is in dire need of an update, much like the LoC was and the BT before that.

If we're lucky, we might even see a new model in the next year or so.

oO it is the very first time I have seen a GW GUO.
This thing is awful. But really awful, even too awful for Nurgle

I have a buddy who uses his as a Chaos Knight of Nurgle. It might be a little big for a GUO, but not by much - And, for the most part, being bigger is a disadvantage anyways, so I wouldn't really care.

Looks the part to me...and if it doesn't gain any benefits from being bigger...who cares? If anything you're able to be shot at more frequently so you're taking a small penalty, correct? The aesthetic is spot on (particularly if you remove the riders).

So, to show that you aren't alone, I wanted to share that I ordered a second Glottkin that will go riderless (sort of, as I'll add a few Nurglings) and he'll get a big-ass sword to be a GUO. $80 shipped, BNIB, didn't hurt my feelings!

The guy who works at the GW around here uses them himself as GUOs if I remember right, just don't put the dude on it pretty much and it's set to go.

It is. I can't wait to plop him down on the table as a GUO. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if when the GUO comes out they just give him an alternate right arm (with a sword), a slightly different head and top piece and skip the riders completely. The rest of the sculpt is perfect with no GS work needed.
