Not sure what paints and patterns I should use for such a thing. Anyone have some good ideas?

Standard jungle camo would do the trick, with some anti-camo red thrown in for good measure.

green?

This is a really pointlessly obscure OP to be honest.

What's your existing army, skill level, available paints, intended overall colour scheme? Going to model details? Add damage?

Catachans seem very Vietnam inspired.

I suggest a first stop of googling US Vietnam tanks and basing your paint scheme on what you find.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I'd say colorful. Everything of Catachan is venomous, poisonous, or toxic, so probably very colorful.

Then again, you don't want the native flora and fauna blending in with the hull and surprising you.

Look up jungle cammo. There gonna be tons of examples from WW2 to Vietnam and more.

Find one you like. Someone here will know how to recreate it it in mini form.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.
