Hi all, I don't usually make a P&M showcase thread for my epic stuff but this was slightly different.

Got an old beat up reaver titan off ebay for my army and decided to restore it, but along the way I wanted to detail it a bit more and change its weapon layout.
So both quake cannons were built from old IG tank sprue parts and all the details have come from the same sprues plus old dreadnought ones.




This was the beaut I got from ebay:







And this is the finished result.

Was a bit of a mess when I got it.
Most joints were also snapped but only found that when I stripped off several layers of paint.

I liked the use of the venerable dread pads (at least I think that's where you got them) for the legs. Solid improvement.

Nice save. Only bit I don't care for is the boxes added to the missile launcher (ruins the rather iconic silhouette there). Great rescue though.

You've really brought the details and silhouette up to date. It's got that bulky/boxiness that is so iconic for 'modern' 40k!

Elbows - unfortunately I had to do something with that missile pod.
I'm guessing that at some stager pliers were used to take it apart, as you could see the sides of the launcher were mauled.
So those boxes on the sides are covering the damage.

All in all, that old paint job was hiding a lot of issues with it.
But luckily I planned on working on it anyway, so wasn't really an issue.

I like the model a lot, but to be honest: there's really not that much of the original model still visible. It's not really a great save of an old model if you only use half the old parts and add the rest yourself.

Still, neat model!
