So...I like big monsters. Daemons are my #1 army, and I run princes and GDs whenever I can. I've always liked the look of the big bugs. Is it even possible to rock a list made with multiple carnifexes, flyrants, warriors, mawlocs, etc, and have even a remotely fun time? Or am I screwed before I even get started? I'm not opposed to VSGs or Venomthropes for ++ save bonuses. I just have 0 interest in gaunts, gargoyles or rippers.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Depends on what you play against, don't it? Against fully opted tourney lists, possibly not. Against more middling lists, probably.

People have different definitions of fun. For example, we've set up a fun game once and i brought 1000 sons, cultists and possessed and the enemy brought a pre-nerf r'vana, crysis suits and tetras.

Any kind of Grav based Death Star will decimate you with little counter play possible.

If you like to play a skirmish game vs an army then it's fun to play with just a few big toys. Note that it helps a lot that you will probably be able to paint your army in a fraction of the time a normal army would take you to paint

Do you play with friends? If so, yes. Make up a cool scenario to fit it.

So basically...if you like to win, this army sucks? Scenario building or playing against bad/non-competitive lists only? Yay.

Take more FMCs if you are going competitive. If you play Nids, spam Flyrants, Mawlocs and supported by Lictors. Flyrants are always good, Mawloc give you an easy way to wipe out those Invisible grav-centurion deathstars which your flyrant have difficulty in dealing with.
