Hello, I have purchased large amounts of units based on a combination of redundancy and efficiency. Aiming to field foot slogging units until I have all the models I want and can afford expensive transports.

Why not option 3, which is generally the strongest of the Chymeraie options?

No Chainaxes for the Marauder squad? They are free and +1S is just amazing.

Seekers are awful. The footslogging Leviathans have none of the range needed to do much. They are much happier coming down in a Pod, though this being Blackshields means you are stuck with expensive Kharybdis.

Why Cata armor on those HQs? That makes your slogging army slow down further.

Honestly, with no reliable way to nuke a Flare Shielded AV13 or AV14 unit, no mobility, and no way to deal with flyers, you are going to struggle in most games.

They have chain axes. I didn't list the standard non optional gear.

I have Laser Destroyers and Lascannon Heavy Support squads. What's considered reliable anti-flareshielded options?

I'm going to buy dedicated transports after I have all my other goodies. My next purchases are probably going to be 2-3 Legion artillery tanks, a few quad mortars alongside a AA deredo. I refuse to take fliers unfortunately.

Haywire or a Lightning with Kraken is a solid way to deal with Flare Shielded units. Missiles and Lascannon won't really do the trick, as the former can't hurt it and the latter need 6's to glance. Not so good. A Spartan with a deathstar will give your list trouble.

You don't need a flyer for AA, the Deredeo is a solid choice. But an aversion to taking a Lightning does limit your antitank a bit.

Quad Mortars are awesome. Shatter rounds put a hurting on anything without a Flare Shield and can get kitted with Phosphex which is really brutal.

Always good to list equipment that is standard, but not standard.

Also, def go with Option 3. Fear, Fleet and Rage are better force multipliers, imo.

This will sound rather harsh.
At 2.5-3k points you need to be equipped to deal with the nastiest of things in the HH.
This is flare-shield spartan/terminator/primarch deathstar of doom territory and, at 3k, warhound territory.

To deal with these, you need more than a squad of las rapiers and a missile launcher squad.
A sicarian venator would cheaply bring some good anti-superheavy firepower, as would some shatter-shell quad mortars.

The deredeo is imo, the single best non-flier AA unit in the game, and can clear out either light vehicles, terminators or heavy vehicles depending upon it's loadout.

I think you have way too much anti-infantry.

I would scrap the seekers, the leviathans and the volkite support squad.
Then issue meltabombs to the sergeants, grab a deredeo and a venator then see where you stand.

The Leviathans have to stay. Because I love them. Anything else can come and go freely.

My 'modified' ~2500 list is below:

CC revolves around the radgrenades-chainaxes combo with rage.
Aircraft are dealt with by the deredeo, the levis handle light vehicles, the las rapiers hit heavy vehicles, the venator stuns SHVs. Quad mortars can assist with almost everything.

You still have ~500pts for something to top out at 3k.

I prefer hardier forces with niche offensive applications, i want my army to represent an aged force of cybernetically enhanced marines. I'm going for a virdigiris bronze effect on the armor with rusted weapons.

Option 1 is what I will be playing with most. On a side note, would I absolutely have to model the blackshields with autoguns/lasrifles if I take them? I want to have the opportunity to have decent shooting via astartes shot guns or bolters at worst.

My only ideas for that list would be :

Make the Forge Lord a Siegebreaker and get yourself some Phosphex on those Quad Launchers as well.

Drop the HB sponsons off the Venator. No sense snap firing it, but the Combi is good for Weapon Destroyed results.

Phosphex on the Leviathans is nice too. Really gross.

500pt could get a full kit Spartan (375) and some CML/MM Javs (130) just about. Gives a big Marauder squad a ride so it has some mobility and also gets you something to help pop non-AC threats/medium/light armor.

All right, I have purchased a Autocannon Deredo alongside a Medusa Siege tank. Moving forward I plan on purchasing two anvillys drop pods as well as Volkite calivers, culiverns and chargers.

I'm not budging off of option 1 chymeraie.

I'll finish the talon of Leviathans when I purchase Rhinos, drop pods and perhaps a land raider for my pimp lord.
