Hello everyone,

I'm looking to introduce my wife to AOS (she thinks 40k is to complex to be fun, but finds miniature games to be interesting). I have built up a few small armys now so these lists are using the models I currently own and have built. I just want to make sure it not too terribly one sided because I have only played 2 games of AOS so far. I want to try my new Nurgle army and have my wife play the Seraphon.

The Nurgle army has more models and wounds, but the Seraphon army is tougher and has less models to keep track of, plus it is faster.


Nurgle list is 1080pts

Flying Daemon prince with an axe
Herald of Nurgle
Unit of 20 plaguebearers
Unit of 10 plaguebearers
Unit of 3 plague drones
Unit of 3 plague drones
Unit of 3 nurglings

Seraphon list is 1080pts

Saurus old blood on a carnasaur
Skink starpriest
Unit of 10 Saurus warriors

Bastilidon with Solar Engine



Any thoughts?

The Seraphon list has an advantage, primarily because of the Bastiladon with Solar Engine; it's powerful on its own and gets an extra damage buff against daemons. If she uses that as a Bastiladon with Arc of Sotec instead (that version is weaker) then things would be decently balanced.

I'm OK with her having a bit of an advantage. I will have so many more models on the table than she does. But i'm not going to lie, 3 damage per wound is rough with the amount of shots it can put out.

If you weren't playing daemons I'd say go for it, but since you are that Bastiladon is going to win her the game quite readily.

Ninth, do you think swapping out the HON for a Lord of Plagues would help ?

It would help, yes. The herald of Nurgle simply isn't worth 100 points. A Rotbringers Sorcerer would probably serve you the best though.
