I am new to playing 40k, but I've been painting and collecting a long long time. Recently my local hobby shop started up a 40k Escalation league that's going from 750 points to 2500 points in 2 and 3/4 months. Instead of using an existing army I decided to start up a Death Guard force in light of the new Traitor Legions book and because I had the models laying around.

My Color Schemes had to be quick and dirty. 3ish months to build a 2500 point force that I'm proud to bring to the table is not a lot of time. I settled on a Piss Yellow color scheme to break from the greens of other DG and opted for a wash heavy method because it would allow me to be lazy with the ending details and still pop the details.

For all my Power Armour guys I start by priming white and washing the models with Agrax Earthshade.

Then I ink the armor areas with a 2/1/1 mix of Yellow ink, green ink and Agrax earthshade.

and Finally follow up with the details with lots of various paints and technicals.

So far I've got a 1000 points plus a few extra units painted up.

I've got a bunch more in progress. Bikes, Oblits, a renegade knight, Rhino's and a whole bunch more. I'll add pictures every time I work something out. Lots of green stuff coming up and a few custom builds in the works (Nurgle Heldrakes kit bashed from Nurgle Drones).

Blessings of Father Nurgle upon you,
Until Next time.

Spent a little time and did the same method with a Hellnaught. I like how it turned out. Check it out for yourself.

Thanks. It's pretty speedy too. I've got a bunched primed so I'll show my progress later this week.
