Hello, I am playing a 500 point game in a FFA against my friends. They are playing IG and Plague Marines. I have convinced them that I want a casual game, when I really just want to kick their backdoors in. I am playing Orks. I am quite new to the game.

EDIT: They are power gamers who will try and make the best lists they can with their models.

Trukk boyz do pretty well at that level. If it's maelstrom you can get a lot of fast points early.

What do you have?

So you've misrepresented the sort of game you want to play, in order to give yourself an advantage? My advice, as an ork player, is that 1. doing this is not something that is conducive to an enjoyable experience for both players; and 2. if you're the sort of person who's only interested in winning, to the extent that you're trying to deceive people before the game's even started, then orks are a really bad choice of army to do this with. Because as soon as people get wise to the fact you're not only a powergamer, but a dishonest one, there are plenty of armies that can bring the cheese to such an extent that they'll wipe Orks off the board without breaking a sweat.

Outer Space, Apparently

Yeah I wouldn't deceive your opponents like that, if that's the intention. Have a hardcore-casual game, sure, just try not to trick them into bringing an inferior list so you can bring a superior one.

I recommend Trukks loaded with Boyz; a very fun and speedy casual choice for Orks

You won't need to worry about overpowering them or misrepresenting anything. No matter your desire, you do not have a competitive list.. Are you buying more? Nobs and the Dread are likely to do very little, which is most of your force.

Truks and boyz, or if you want variety you can always go minimum lootas or minimum tankbustas. Really there isn't much you can do to curbstomp them.

As an ork player: expect to lose. It sucks, but get over it. We play orks to have fun, not to be a jerkoff. Tell your friends to not power game because any brain dead idiot knows that orks are not good at their current state. If they say no then at least you're the better man in the situation. Pulling a bait and switch ruins games.
