I just got Fall of Cadia, and I am unsure how to determine the faction of the three new characters. I see the icon at the top--is this supposed to be matched to an icon in the respective books? Are there English words anywhere that say, "Greyfax is Faction Inquisiton" and so on? What am I missing?

The faction symbol at the top of the dataslate has always been the only indicator of faction.

Faction symbols are shown on page 118 of the rulebook, but they would be much easier if there was somewhere that just spelled it out on the datasheet.

It is not explicitly stated for Formations and generally other non-codex datasheets that the Faction symbol at the top of the datasheet is the unit/Formation's Faction but, for practical gaming purposes... common sense. That is all.

Greyfax has the Inquisition icon.
Cawl has the Cult Mechanicus icon.
Celestine has the Adepta Sororitas icon.
