Cultist of Nurgle with Open Sores
|
Sooooo....
I know a fair bit about the 40k fluff. But it's mostly general stuff, not specific battles, specific people, things like that. My question is, Nurgle and Khorne get along fairly well most of the time, right? At least when their goals are similar or neither force is large enough to take a location, etc. I know Khorne will go nutters if anything remotely Slaaneshi shows up, and Nurgle is joyous except when Tzeentch is around.
My CSM are almost entirely Nurgle dedicated, but I was wondering how fluffy it would be (I play fluffy, not to win) to have some like Khorne Possessed, Spawn, and even Kharn allied with my Nurgle force (not actually like Allied Detachment) along with some hired hands of Night Lords (Raptors/Warp Talons) and Word Bearers (Possessed/Dark Apostles) and even Iron Warriors (Obliterators/Mutliators)...
I'm more worried about the two Aligned forces working together than the undivided forces, since they tend to ally with whomever they need to.

They would work together fine. There are such alliances brokered constantly. For example, Abbadon has forged followers of all creeds into his Black Legion. Also, the Word Bearers, while they try to stay adherent to all of the Chaos Gods, do have specialist followers, and they cooperate effectively.

The hatred between Khorne/Slaanesh and Nurgle/Tzeentch is generally kept inside the warp (for Daemons playing the great game) and the Eye of Terror (for legions having internal wars).
Outside of the realms of chaos all forms of chaos are quite happy to work with each other to get a one up on the none chaos forces. Take the black crusades for example: all walks of chaos forces work together in an attempt to bring about the end of the Imperium. Chaos will only fight chaos if there are no Imperial, Eldar, etc. forces in the area.
Further the power of chaos as a whole > further the power of an individual god.

Facts are chains that bind perception and fetter truth. For a man can remake the world if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind. |

You should be flogged for such blatant heresy, The cooperation between chaos gods whom are diametrically opposed is clearly propaganda from the recent editions, Khorne tolerates Nurgle but hates those cowardly magic wielding Tzeench and above all that discsting Slaneesh that perverts the holy slaughter of the enemy. Blood to the Blood God!
