In the AoS app I have found two descriptions for savage ork boys.

One is savage orcs and still gives them stats for having big stabbas in the units and 6+ war paint saves. They also count as battle line for destruction armies.

The other is for the regular savage orruks and have them split into morboys and arrow boys with the big stabba removed as its own unit. Arrow boys are not listed as battle line but other boys are.

So question is which description is correct or can savage orcs still exist within the bonesplitta army?

Saage orcs is the legacy scroll. In matched play, most people would insist you use the newer split up rules.

There are two different factions involved. Savage "Orcs" is from the Orcs and Goblins legacy warscrolls. Savage "Orruks" are part of the Bonesplitterz faction. Either or both could theoretically be taken in a Destruction army, but only the savage Orruks belong in the Bonesplitterz allegiance armies and would get the allegiance abilities.

Even though the savage orcs have the bonesplitta key word?

I would rather use the Legacy as I can still get battleline units and have some shooty with my ironjaws.

Interesting fact. All of the warscrolls for Savage Orruks have the 'BONESPLITTERZ' keyword.

We'll see if they make the correction for GHB II. For now I'm rolling with legacy savage orc bowmen for my battleline units.

It would come down to your community if that's OK or not, but do know that it's likely you will need to convert at some point either from GHB updates or expectation from others to use current rules.

From my perspective, if a player shows up with a bunch of savage orcs with bows that they had from pre-battletome days I wouldn't have a problem with giving that player some leeway until they could get battleline figured out. But if that player bought and assembled Bonesplittaz with full knowledge of the battletome then I'd have a problem with using the old scroll. But that's just my position.

Keep in mind there are no point values for "Savage Orcs" in the Generals Handbook. The entry is for Savage Orruks. So you would be using the legacy warscrolls for open and narrative play for the most part. Which in those formats there should be no objections, but in points play they would be illegal.

Now i am all sorts of confused. When I pull up Savage Orruks on my phone app it is the legacy scroll. When I pull it up on my ipad it is the new scroll. Both are updated. Why am I getting this error?

It might help to delete the app and redownload all of the warscrolls. Sometimes the app has hiccups like that. I do think there's some blurb in the handbook or the FAQ's that say use the most recent warscroll for any given model should there be more than 1 for a model.
