Is there a way to use plague marines, possibly as part of a chaos warband? Or can you only really take them as a CAD?

One option seems yo be traitors hate. Are there other ways? I'd love to do a vectorum but havong to run a warband abd a plague colony is gonna be pricey.

Colony or CAD. In a friendly game you could probably just take them but ask your opponent first.

Nurgle marked marines are pretty much the same as PM in a vectorium anyway. Just use the PM models as them.

This. There's really not much difference between MoN marines in a vectorum since they're fearless, T5, 5+++ (rr1's), the only things you're missing is the plague knife and the ability to take 2 specials at 5 men but you're getting the MoN marines at such a huge discount (5ppm if you count the 2x CCW's the PM's get as standard) that it's a rediculously good trade when PM's were already some of the best troops CSM had access to. Do you really want to pay 5ppm for a plague knife? Well, a bit less once the sarge tax is factored in, but still...

IMHO the Vectorium makes CSM tier-2 competitive.

Yeah I think I've convinced myself I'm just going to kit out and restructure based on a CWB. It's super portable, and if I don't go too nurgly on the paint I can re-use for other purposes and configurations - though I am having a hard time seeing how non-Nurgle is competitive w/o very specific tricks (turn 1 deep strike, big sorc cabals)

Most of the Death Guard players I know how have been going this route. While the debuffs on the Plague Colony are great, it does not leave a lot of room for anything else in one's list.

The other great Death Guard units are bikes are terminators. I would rather have then have to take 3 extra PM squads just to get a special rule.
