I want to paint separate this model I am assembling but some pieces are quite small and I dont want to drill them

Is blu tack... double sided tape... then put a paperclip into a cork or something ... and secure that once i'm done painting it so it doesnt tip over or what..

Use CA glue and glue the part to a paper clip. The paper clip will snap off with gentle pressure and the crazy glue is easy to clean off. Blue tac or tape won't hold it well enough. Then stick the paper clip into cork.
