Anyone heard any news on the plastic Orcs? Feels odd that we are seeing the Undead stuff being released before we see a race from the core book.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

He still just looks like a Skeletor-esque regular dude with a skull for a head.

apparently those come from the latest rules book, or at least that's what was mentioned on the lead adventures forum. (I don't own the books, I just like the minis for RPG purposes)

I think that means they are a good indication of what is to come- particularly since with the orcs you have 5 very prominant body types which have torso costume features repeated on background figures.

Which is great, as they seem very useful for some Hyborian era conversions!

Quite sad about this game. I love it so much but it is so difficult to find NS miniatures in Italy. Moreover McCullough and Osprey seem to have forgotten it.

Hopefully not, the plastic kits are great for fantasy gaming. Even if Oathmark as a game doesn't sell well (no idea whether it is or not), the miniatures work in a multitude of other systems. Which I imagine means they sell well.

Hopefully we get to see some Orc preview pictures soon enough.

They make for some great generic minis - I use them in RPG's alot as they mix perfectly with frostgrave minis, and the knights and wizards frostgrave kits are great at giving alot of options for player characters.

Same. I was hoping we would at least have pictures by now, as I'm really looking forward to them.

I like them. About plastic orcs: Northstar is trying to put them out in July but it is not sure.

I'm looking forward to seeing the plastic sculpts!

Edit- and I had forgotten I basically said the same thing just a few posts above,

Finally!

If ind the legs and arm proportions a big weird, but I think I can replace those easily enough- the torsos seem to be giving me pretty close to what I was hoping for.

Those will be some very useful bits.

Disappointingly small and not well differentiated from the Goblins for my taste, but the bits will work great on other miniatures

Agreed. I like them but they pretty much seem like another wave of goblins - which isn’t a bad thing. Just don’t seem different enough to be orcs.

I think that in general the Oathmark stuff is more rooted in Tolkien, for which there isnt really much (if any) real difference between orcs and goblins.

Honestly, I reckon it's only with DnD that a real difference began because it was needed for the game - but only truly took off with Games Workshop.

And I'm okay on turning back the clock a bit on both DnD and GW. They have their product and tons of imitators and heavily influenced creations anyway.

Yeah, they are good for hobgoblins models but not for orcs.

Pretty good. I thought they'd come out a bit more chunky, but I like them and they'll look good next to my other Orks.
