Tau Target lock reads: a model equipped with target lock can fire at a different unit than the rest of the squad. my question is: if i have multiple Crisis suits with their own target lock, can each one fire upon a different target?

Yes, but it is a waste unless you have one or or more shooting Drones in the unit or an IC. Without shooting Drones (or an IC), you only need to have two of them with Target Locks. The third will be the "unit" so free to fire at whoever you wanted, anyway.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

If you want every model in the unit to be able to shoot at different targets include 1 less target lock than the total number of models in the unit. Make sure when you start selecting targets for the unit that you declare where each model is shooting before you start shooting.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Crisis Suits aren't limited to units of 3 anymore. 9 is the upper limit now.

You could do something like...
Commander w/Drone Controller, the two Signature Systems that make everything in the unit Ignores Cover + Twin-Linked and 2x Gun Drones
4x Crisis Suits w/2x Plasma Rifles, Target Lock and 2x Gun Drones
3x Crisis Suits w/2x Missile Pods, Target Lock and 2x Gun Drons
2x Crisis Suits w/2x Fusion Blasters, Target Lock and 2x Gun Drones

You end up with a unit where you have this breakdown. Each numbered item can shoot at a different target...
1. 20 Gun Drones firing 40 BS5 S5 AP5 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (97.2% chance to hit)
2. A Crisis Suit firing 2-4 BS3 S6 AP2 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (75.0% chance to hit)
3. A Crisis Suit firing 2-4 BS3 S6 AP2 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (75.0% chance to hit)
4. A Crisis Suit firing 2-4 BS3 S6 AP2 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (75.0% chance to hit)
5. A Crisis Suit firing 2-4 BS3 S6 AP2 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (75.0% chance to hit)
6. A Crisis Suit firing 4 BS3 S7 AP4 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (75.0% chance to hit)
7. A Crisis Suit firing 4 BS3 S7 AP4 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (75.0% chance to hit)
8. A Crisis Suit firing 4 BS3 S7 AP4 shots with Ignores Cover and Twin-Linked. (75.0% chance to hit)
9. A Crisis Suit firing 2 BS3 S8 AP1 shots with Ignores Cover, Twin-Linked and Melta. (75.0% chance to hit)
10. A Crisis Suit firing 2 BS3 S8 AP1 shots with Ignores Cover, Twin-Linked and Melta. (75.0% chance to hit)

The Gun Drones mow down basic Infantry OR anything that you want to have to roll lots of armor saves. The Plasma Rifles mow down anything with a 2+ save. The Missile Pods mow down light vehicles. The Fusion Blasters mow down heavy vehicles or anything T4 you want to double out and kill via Instant Death.

Now, there are issues. Get assaulted and you can kiss your unit good bye. Nothing in this unit can fight in close combat even a little. I've seen people add Shadowsun as Warlord to the unit for the 3D6" assault move to ensure your opponent has to work to get to you. Against shooting, you're better off. With good positioning, a Gun Drone is always going to be the closest model.

This sort of thing will absolutely dominate a casual scene, but hasn't really played into the competitive meta for awhile now. There are too many hard counters. Something as simple as a Heldrake that you allow to take a shot will flame with unit to death in a moment.
