Since I've been out of 40k and solely a Sigmar player for a while I've not had cause to pickup many of the new models. However the potential in the new Guilleman kit had me bursting with conversion ideas, so here is my current WIP Abaddon with a little warp taint showing (I know heresy right) as his plans begin to grow into fruition. Drach is looking remarkably like the emperors sword in this one with my own head fluff saying warped and decrepid Drach worked when he was essentially in "exile" and now he is ascendant the shifting blade has warped to match his own perverse view of his new stature. The talon hand is awaiting final parts from dark furys to turn into a proper talon of horus.

Abaddon? With no foot-tall top-knot? You're not doing it right mate. It needs to be at least five times taller

Joking aside this conversion looks awesome! My only criticism is that the brass doesn't follow the armour panels in some areas, but I know that's a difficult issue to tackle and it's definitely not ruining the model.

Thanks guys, the kit itself appeals so much to conversions that I had to use it to make Abaddon into a more epically suitable model.

He's now gained some battle damage, and the Talon of Horus is looking far more respectable!

I'll be honest - it's not doing anything for me. I think I'll have to see it painted. At the moment it doesn't look modified enough (I just see Girlyman). Oddly it also doesn't look anything like Abaddon so I'm kinda "eh". However, painting could change it all.

I think I'm done tweaking for now and will be priming him come morning. I appreciate all of the constructive feedback and have implemented those that I agreed with (or had the skill to do so with) and appreciate that not everyone would be thrilled with a different take on an existing character within the setting.

All I can say is WOW!! THis beats the hell out of the current Abaddon model-and with the plot moving forward in 40k I wonder if we'll ever see GW make anything this good-I for one hope so, as this is FANTASTIC!!

Talon of Horus is my favorit part, and I like the use of the Yncarne head piece too!

Still looking good! Now we need to see it painted.

It certainly looks interesting, but the face/head I just can't make out. It looks like a tentacle or a horn sticking up, and I think I see a topknot behind that, but I really can't see what's going on there

Cheers guys he's been primed and I'm set to start putting paint to model, the head/horn should become clearer when there is paint to differentiate and draw light sources (I hope), to start I'm working on the sword arm!

Love the idea! Can't wait to see everything painted up. I can definitely see why some people weren't as thrilled when you were in the building phase; it is quite hard to see everything coming together until the model is primed.
