Subject: [2000] - Aelves - Can aelves only list be competitive?
Probably change Mistweaver for Shadowdance for 28" Dragon move
My friend is a long time aelves fan and is looking forward to see the new aelves release this year.
But we are facing several tournaments in April and May and while he is willing to participate he sees the attempt to field Aelves only list as futile and meaningless, sticking to his kurnoths+hurricanum list he plays since he gave up on Aelves.
I came up with a list in spoiler above and I see it as quite competitive against top tier lists like stormcasts with 20 paladin squad, kunning rukk with frostlords on stonehorns, sylvaneth with kurnoth limit and ironjaws with large blobs of brutes.
The cccombo is to shoot the main threat with medusae and glade guards' -3 rending ability then charge with phoenix, dragon and kharibdyss striking with all three monsters before opponent can react.
The primary target should be either dead or die from bravery (-1 from kharibdyss might help). In theory the strike is quite strong.
Due to the number of units we almost never choose who goes first, but threat range can possibly allow to deploy safely.
The list has seen little field tests, so I am not sure whether it is good or not.
Have you guys had any success with aelves lists? Most of the units are overpriced, but here and there there is a diamond, so I need to some help from Aelves fans who haven't gave up on their armies. I smell that Lokhir Fellheart ability to almost double battleshock loses can be hidden treasure, but can't come up with a list which reliably executes.

Tournament quality? Double dragonlord host Battalion with a 3rd dragon comes out to exactly 2k. There is the potential for 1st turn charges, and ranged mortal wound delivery. 3 drops and each dragon can take a quicksilver potion. That's about a small nasty as all selves get at 2k.
