So, after watching Iron Fist the last week or so, I came to realize that there are lots of ridiculously rich kids that have gone on to become super heroes. But how many are there really? Why do so many rich kids become super heroes? Is it because they can afford it, and normal kids can't?

Here's the list I got, who's missing? I don't read comics so alls I have to go on is TV & movies..

Bruce Wayne / Batman is the first one that comes to mind
Oliver Queen / Arrow
Tony Stark / Iron Man
Iron Fist
Black Panther was like a prince or something
Charles Xavier / Professor X lives in a ginormous mansion

Who else is there?

Arrow is Oliver Queen, Matt Murdoch is a lawyer ,but he does pro bono and community work, and grew up (and gained his powers) in a working class family.

How'd you miss Bruce Wayne?

Orphans are also popular as well. Just to name a few: Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, and Shazam.

Having two parents happily married takes you off the normal super hero list.

Orphan. Unhappy childhood, or many others are standard.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

In fairness, the half-dozen or so superheroes you mentioned are everyone I know of an more, and there's probably hundreds of superheroes.

Hell, there's probably dozens that have simply been portrayed in film, and few have been super wealthy.

Hell, if you take only the superheroes shown on Netflix, only one so far has been Richie rich. And that's one of 4 (5, arguably, with the punisher).

And I agree with azreal13, daredevil is a laywer, but is certainly not a rich one.

Spider-Man currently runs a corporation that is on par with Stark's in the comics, possibly bigger I think. There's been varying Stark is broke story lines.
