I wanted to share some more terrain pieces I finished recently. I imagined the terrain pieces reflecting a rusted and abandoned forgeworld covered in ash and pollution. Not quite enough to cover a 6x4 - so I still want to pick up a few more pieces. Perhaps a Shadow War set.

Looks really good, fits a theme I am thinking of doing someday as well. What colors and methods did you use to get those colors?

Nicely done, love the dusty feel it has!

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."

That are some really awesome buildings you have there! I love your creative use of the set, it's really inspiring.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

I'm going to echo everyone else here... what are the paints and steps you used/did to create that colour scheme? I really dig it and have lots of terrain to paint!

The recipe is just loads of dry brushing.

Spray black. Basecoat dryad bark. Drybrush > Rhinox Hide > Doombull Brown.

Wash the whole thing with lots of Agrax.

Drybrush the rusty bits > Mournfang Brown > Skrag Brown > Ryza Rust.

The secret ingredient is some drybrush of Bugmans Glow to give it a hint of blush.

Finally, I added the ash only on the top zenithal points of the terrain by drybrushing Pallid Witch Flesh.

I also went in with some Typhus corrosion her of there. I still need to do more of that in spots. Also went in and added some grit and rubble with pva and sand.

Thanks a ton. I particularly like the ash effect the terrain has. Really brings it to life (or perhaps death in this case).

Yeah I agree. I was really surprised how the ashy drybrush really made the pieces pop.
