With the new stats on the storm raven, I'm thinking about getting one, but am a little turned off by the flying-shipping-container look.
I don't think it's terrible, but with some improvements it could look badass. Anyone here has success with that in the past? I've seen there's sites that used to sell conversion kits to lengthen the body, but they don't seem to be selling them anymore and I think it needs more of a facelift than that.

I did a few years back using the Chapterhouse set.To be honest,I wouldn't use the kit again because frankly it wasn't a great fit, some parts had to be radically filed, cut, sworn at......
Then the super glue wouldn't take to the resin very well........
Hindsight is a wonderful thing; If I was doing the model now I would use plastic sheet from model shops, the big benefit would be no more superglue!

Combined one with a Valkyrie once. Still need to paint that suckered.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I really need to get a better picture of it completed. But here is a almost done WIP shot:

Lower profile top guns, and ditch the air scoop up top. Helps balance it a bit more.

I wouldn't say it looks any 'cooler' but I've modeled mine to be a ramshackle flying potato of sorts, complete with space marine jump packs strapped onto the failing engines just to get the poor bird through its next flight. More of a joke than anything else...

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."
