Just saw the new info on the new campaign starting in July I have to say I am very nervous as I play a Konor Ad Mech army and since this campaign will "decide its final fate" aka what ever GW wants this could destroy my entire armies home world. Now I know how Cadian players feel at least. This then opens the question of what happens if Konor is destroyed? Does my army become fleet based, move to another planet, get replaced in the narrative? @##$##$$#$$!

Hey, look at the Tanith 1st. They seemed to deal ok with it. Plus, if it is a forge world, just have them controlling a Ramillies Star Fort and use it to cruise the galaxy!

That used to be the case. I wouldn't be too sure now. it seems like they could go through with it. This isn't something like Cadia which everybody know about. I had never even heard of Konor. A lot more scope to change fluff when less people are invested in what you are changing.

How long have the Tanith 1st been wandering the galaxy after their homeworld got blown up? You can be "the survivors of Konor" wandering about with a mobile fabricator spaceship base.

(I blew up my own Craftworld in the backstory I've got written and my army is sort of halfway to a Corsair fleet, it isn't the end of the world.)

(...Well, it sort of is the end of the world, but it isn't the end of your army.)

Cadia shall not truly be dead until the last of her people and their descendants and memory are wiped from the galaxy. It was not the rocks and dust that were the heart and soul of Cadia, but her iron-willed children whom stand unbroken on a million worlds as the thin perimeter between mankind and the horrors of darkness, and will do so forever and unto the end of time!

The 9125th Cadian Armored Regiment has held the line, and will continue to do so as long as His enemies exist to slay!

[We're fine, and still out here in the galaxy, even though we don't have a planet. It wasn't like we were ever going home anyway.]

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

Please, the results of this have already been decided by their absurd "buying/painting a unit and/or using Space Marines(tm) awards you double points" nonsense. The Imperium will win this by a country mile the same way Order did with the AoS campaign.

How many thousands are going to be buying and painting up new Gullicast Ulternals for their armies? A fair few more than Death Guard I'd wager, not to mention the sheer numbers of Imperial players in the first place.

I would not worry about it, we Space Wolves will be logging plenty of victories for the Imperium.

The Imperial Guard is a great way to spread a particular planet's people and descendents all over the Galaxy. There's Cadian forces on countless worlds, having Cadian babies with whatever populations they were sent to conquer or retake control over. Considering nearly every human being on Cadia was in the guard, and how often they're shipped off, there were probably more Cadians on other worlds than on Cadia.

Lolwut. Seriously? Just playing space marines automatically gets you more points than any other faction? What a joke.

(Not that the campaign was ever going to be a serious thing, with no check on submitting fraudulent reports and piling up an arbitrarily large number of points for your chosen faction.)

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Anyone know where to find the most recent info on the campaign? Can't find a good link.

Got a source on that? Because that doesn't sound right.
If that does exist, then does the same rule exist for death guard, as they are also a new set?

At my local GW, buying and assembling a unit between July 1st and the beginning of the campaign earns you points in said campaign.
It's very likely that early July will see primaris releases, which would skew the buying part in favor of space marines, by a lot.

Eh, sounds more like its a store thing created by the manager to push sales rather than an "official" GW thing.
Like that one thread in this forum about a store manager didn't let anyone sign up for the campaign if their army wasn't bought from the store.
I certainly don't remember reading anything about that on GW's article about the campaign.

There was this information a while back (https://astropate.blogspot.de/2017/06/fate-of-konor-la-nuova-campagna-mondiale.html) supposedly sent out to retailers, part of which lists buy/paint bonuses:

Customers will get double points in the campaign for using a force that contains one or more of these units OR paints a datasheet that contains this unit type. We are going to let our customers know these themes right from the beginning:

Week 1: Space Marines and Start Collecting! sets

Week 2: Elites

Week 3: Tanks

Week 4: Psykers

Week 5: Fast Attack/Flyers

Week 6: Lords of War/Scenery

Unless Space Marines is meant to encompass Chaos Marines as well (which I assume is possible given this is an announcement, not a rules pack), there's going to be a bias in the system that goes beyond the one simple popularity affords loyalist Marines.

Space marines AND start collecting sets.
sounds to me like any start collecting set will garner extra points for that week, which all factions can get. So.... sounds like, and in my short time with this game I have learned this is often the case with the crowds, overreaction to incomplete information. We should just wait for it to be more complete information to start complaining, also bonus points aside still would assume that winning your matches and logging them would be the best way to effect the campaign.

In short, its a game yall lets just have fun with it.
