My Ironstriders are now viable with 6+ save!
Electro priests shooting attack is devastating! (Seriously if that was more than 12" it would be amazing)
Kastelan Robots can be fielded without the stupid Datasmith!

I'm literally crying tears of joy right now. If they get a formation with more Heavy Attack choice and no HQ I'm going to be ecstatic.

But what about you Mechanicus Adepts? What are your thoughts?

My favorite units are just okay. I'm talking about Skitarii and the Sicarians. While the arqubus is arguably better with being s7, it is still a 25pt weapon. The Ranger's basic gun should've been translated to a 30" s4 ap-1 d1, but instead got nerfed to ap-1 on 6's. The Vanguard with the cancer gun was a great horde removal option with a gun that could additional wounds on a roll of 6. Instead it's moved to damage 2 on a 6, which great if you are fighting anything with multiple wounds, but with no ap, it's not really anything to write home about. I was hoping Sicarians would get buffed to 3 wounds or something to help them. They lost a 5+ invuln and fnp for a 6+. Their swords are somewhat interesting as they deal mortal wounds on 6's, but still a hard sell for them. Infiltrator's aura got nerfed and their points increased. Still only hq we have is Cawl and generic Dominus meaning we have to have 2 magos in our list for some detachments if we don't own cawl.

Nearly 3k+ points of Slaanesh (AoS)
2500 points of Ironjawz
Too many points of Space Marines.

Fulgurites are great, as are Onagers. Kastelans are borderline broken.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

Kastelans still need a datasmith to change protocols, but at least you can have one overseeing a lot of units.

I feel like you've been purposfully avoiding all the leaks to be this excited right now?

Unfortunately I still think you need 1 datasmith as you can't change the protocols without him... but you only need one rather than 1 per unit.

There is also something to be said for just running the kastellans in default mode and not bothering with the data smith. You lose out on double shooting, but you keep your durability and aren't at risk of being stuck in one spot if a sniper picks him off.

Very true. It'll take a bit of pkayresting to see how things sort out.
