Nope. Between its now not-better-than-Imperial Knight movement, no Fly and huge point increase the Wraithknight has been nerfed into the ground.

But it can fall back and still shoot/charge, and while doing so it's free to move over infantry models.
It's funny it's allowed to ignore infantry when falling back, but not when moving normally.

I wouldn't say that. At first I too thought GW over reacted, but after seen other armies points increases in so many units, I think the WK is a fair-ish price and still very useful. It basically gained Hit & Run, which is amazing for it. The basic 2 Heavy Wraithcannon build is way better in melee than it previously was. It can shoot several targets (with 2 shots per gun now), assault a unit, then next turn fall back and repeat.
It's worth it's cost now, although I am still puzzled why it costs 80ppm more than an Imperial Knight (that has the same stat line)

What sort of synergies can the Wraithknight gain from other Eldar models? What sort of synergies can the Imperial Knight gain from other models? We aren't comparing these units in a vacuum. the Wraithknight probably costs more because it can be buffed. The IK can't really be buffed in the same way.

Sorry, but if a WK can be buffed, it should be the unit that buffs it that pays extra. The WK shouldn't be penalized just because there is a "possibility" that it can be improved.
If you want a Farseer to Fortune or Guide a WK, you are paying the points on the Farseer.
The real reason the WK costs more than the IK is because GW thinks it will appease a section of the player base that wants 'revenge' for the WK being so undercosted in 7E.

All that bitterness aside, though, the WK is still playable and I'm actually tempted to take 3 of them at 2K with a Command detachment with 1 Farseer Skyrunner and 2 Autarchs Skyrunners.
It'd be crap against any army that is even the slightest bit hordey, but would be hella fun against eltie-style armies.

Please lets not start this again. We know you have strong feelings about the WK's "situation" but we don't need another 5 page rant on the subject. Let's just agree to disagree on exactly where the 80 points came from.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Thankfully, I don't feel nearly as strongly as I did when the rules first leaked. After seeing how other armies units went up in cost too, I'm ok with where the WK is.
