The new detachments allow for some really interesting ideas. On occasion the HQ requirement could be considered a tax, but sometimes it can also lead to shenanigans like this

Had the models already and thought this might be interesting. Bikes move 14” now, which is fast enough on its own. Add in Warp Time and you’re now moving 28”. This should very easily put you in what used to be double-tap range with the bolters- even nastier now because the rapid fire 2 weapon type. Can also fire the bolt pistols, and then add either 2 melta shots or 4 plasma shots. Combi flamers give another 2 shots at -1 to hit PLUS another D6 from the flamer if you’re in 8”. Oh and you can also cast Prescience so you hit on 2’s, 3’s with the combi flamer, and the flamer auto hits so you’re good there.
Total Firepower from one unit (say one plasma squad):
30 S4 bolt shots and 4 S7 plasma shots hitting on 2’s, 2 S4 bolt shots on 3’s, and D6 S4 auto hits. And then if whatever you’re pointing at doesn’t go down, you are most likely in charge range.
Not meant to be competitive, but thought this was a cool idea that is CRAZY fast, and hopefully dodges the “glass hammer” problem being entirely T5 with 2 wounds (5 for the sorcerers!)
