1 and 2. These are the first models to be removed from the buffer unit they must not be the sargent
3. Devestator/Heavy weapon squad
4.
HQ/Character/Second Unit
5. Tank/Razorback/Ect
6. DNE ignore
7-8. Heavy weapon and special weapon
okay so the way this works is that you have the buffer unit set up 4" ahead of the heavy weapons. Ideally this will be a troop unit something that can do
CC and ranged. The purpose of this unit set up is to provide cover and
CC screening for the heavy weapons team. this is for going up against
CC units. the first unit acts as a speed bump and the
HQ/Second unit acts to draw the
CC units toward it and away (more than 1" away so that you can fire) from the Heavy weapons teams, Should the
CC unit wipe out the first in the first turn. The secondy /
HQ unit is able to charge by charging into the hole left by removing one of the center units should they survive.
ideally you don't need the Second
HQ unit and the first speed bump unit will be wiped out on their turn so it's best to use something like guard. That way they consolidate toward you but can't reach within 1". This is only if you are trying to kill the
CC unit. The purpose of the secondary unit is to give the Heavy weapon team another turn to kill whatever ELSE is on the battlefield.
Also for the speed bump unit it's important that the special weapon be a flamer.
