It doesnt come with an autocannon. It has no space to mount an autocannon. The Index says a Lightning has to have an autocannon.

If only they made an updated version of the old Lightning except this time without the headlights. That would make me so happy, as the current lightning is not doing it for me.

What I do in these situation is point to some random part of the model and say "there is a hidden flap there. The Emperor wills it so" and I normally get away with it. Things like autoguns don't need to be WYSIWYG, and I would still play against it.



Just pick any part of the mini that doesn't serve a real purpose. That's your auto cannon.

Especially as you don't fire from the gun anymore.
I can see why you'd think it was silly of them to add a weapon it doesn't have, but calling it invalidated is "a bit" of an overreaction.

And how do you fix scratchbuild models then? I modelled my rapiers with hades autocannons, which are no longer an option because reasons. They're only a gun and tracks lol. Pretend they're fancy heavy bolters and the forgefiend has a different profile because uuh, magic?

Its not that I wouldnt allow voss patterns on my table anymor but its the fact they put out new rules for a discontinued model while forgetting about the current one is so funny.
