"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

They only sent it to those that are registered for BAO. Figured it was worth discussing even though it's not a permanent ITC Poll or w/e

I'm curious what a warhound would do. Their weakness has always been flyers... but not so much now.

If I was voting it'd be "layered", "no", "yes".

Layered, no and yes would be my answers.

The first rule of unarmed combat is: don’t be unarmed.

I'm a bit disappointed with the Power Level limit. I've played against most of the units they listed save for real Titans and none of them are OP at all. I took down a Supremacy suit in a single turn without difficulty.

Layered missions definitely seem good but Space Marine codex is a total toss up. They are probably going to wreck the tournament with the upper hand on new rules/abilities/etc.

Layered, Yes, Yes myself. I feel the current missions aren't particularly interesting and dont offer the same kind of tactical swings unless that a good layered mission might.

Layered, no comment, yes.

Eternal war missions are ass. Even maelstrom is more fun.

It's the start of a new edition. They should test EVERYTHING and only after a lot of games between different people they should start layering out house rules.
However, I'd be against using the SM codex because not everyone would have time to read and get used to it, while by July every 40k player already had a look at the indexes.

My answers would be Current Missions, Yes and No.

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

Layered Objectives - Yes; the ones currently in the book are pointless, the battles don't last long enough or are lopsided against artillery and the like. Turn by turn objectives sound great.

Giant units - Leaning towards no; I'm against Forgeworld/large units in general for the balancing issues they have. Allowing super massive units would skew TAC lists and anti-armor requirements even further. That said, a solid mission list might alleviate this pain, as it's only one model.

Spacemarine/other Codexs - No; until all the codexs are released, armies that have a codex versus armies that do not, are simply unfair; and likely heavily unbalanced.

Nearly every single Tournament has a requirement that new releases must be out for a minimal amount of time before becoming legal.

That's just basics...

I'm not even saying to disallow Codex until all are released
Just that you need time to practice against new stuff.
