Completed the wing sculpts and mounted them. Let me know what you think. I have her mounted on a wire but not attached. I debate the long wire holding her up, or the old build up the base and have a short wire from some raised point. The short wire from a piece of terrain always sounds good, but in the end looks like exactly what it is, a thing built only to hold the miniature up...and therefore I tend to just use a wire painted black and partially hidden. Yes, the wings seem rather large...I like a big wingspan, it aids the illusion that they might actually be able to lift something this heavy (no bird bones in Celestine, nor her power armor...) Her two bodyguards have smaller but similar wings sculpting. I plan for each of them to be curving in, with one wingtip down and one high up since the figures are partially twisted and fit that pose.

Thanks for the time!

The feathers and wings look good but the joint looks awkward and really off.

I'd bring feathers all the way to her body, as in real birds.

Thanks Possum, I agree. On the actual eagle wings I used for reference, the part closest to the body had a dozen layers of tiny overlapping feathers as well as that super fluffy downy mixed in...I wasn't sure I could do it that small, so I tried this compromise. Needs work so I'll see what I can do. (And of course the real issue is real birds have a wing that runs along their bodies, rather than extends on long arm like bones...) Anyway, back to feathering!
