I won't review the set, as it is obviously a good deal if you are interested in the faction. One thing has changed from the prior Start Collecting! boxes I have seen. Previously when you bought a Start Collecting! box, you got a bunch of separate instruction for whatever units were included, and a card for the battalion rules. The Fyreslayers box has just one big book, in color like the more recent instructions, and includes the directions, warscrolls, battalion, and further suggestions all in one big book. I wonder if the Slaanesh and Raiders boxes are similar. One thing it does, though, is make it harder to part out a box and sell or trade some of it without having to make copies of the directions, since you don't have individual instruction sheets any more.

I personally would say that finding instructions for the majority of GW kits online isn't too hard. I haven't searched for Fyreslayers specifically, but there have been a few times I've needed instructions and found them within ten minutes.

That and I'd think a good portion of people buying more Fyreslayers will already have some instructions lying around somewhere.

It's not a big problem, I'd think. Maybe annoying for some people, but for the most part it's just easier (both for GW to produce and for most users to keep organised) to have it all in one booklet.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Interesting tidbit, thanks for the info OP.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
