Thinking of picking one up for my UM army but not sure about the best loadout. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The options are to run any combination of two weapons from the following list:

Siege Claw
Siege Drill
Storm Cannon
Grav-flux Bombard
Cyclonic Melta Lance

I vote for a pair of Grav-Flux bombards. Especially if your area has lots of hordes.

Hell, even if they don't, it's still 2d3 Better then lascannon shots.

I like them, but the 18" can be a little tough to swallow sometimes and considering that it doesn't ignore the heavy move penalty it won't hit as solidly all the time. You'll also need t to hide it, because it will be a huge fire magnet.

Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the loadouts for the most part, thanks to the Leviathan being super well costed.

I'd personally opt for the Storm Cannon and Drill, but do as you want.

Personally, I think dual storm cannons. 20 S7 -2ap 2dmg is pretty brutal and gives you decent range.

For the Hellforged version, I've equipped mine with two Butcher Cannon Arrays.

Heavy 8, S8, -1, D2, -2 to Leadership if you take any casualties.

Good against Hordes due to sheer volume, useful against elites thanks to the -2 Ld, decent enough against all but the very heaviest of vehicles.

Yup, definitely works for me!

So did they change the rules for the Leviathan after the preview was released?

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/05/24/new-warhammer-40000-a-forge-world-datasheet-may24gw-homepage-post-4/

On here you can only swap out one claw with a main gun (no mention of "either claw")

If it did change then I'd agree with Maelstrom on the dual storm cannon. Otherwise Storm cannon & Claw

They changed it in the IA FAQ: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/07/15/new-and-updated-forge-world-faqs-july16gw-homepage-post-2/

I personally think double Grav-Flux is the way to go: S9 AP-5 D5 versus big things? +d3 (+2d3 since you have a pair) shots for every 5 models against hordes? The 18" range is a bit of a downer but the Leviathan has 8" movement and the heavy weapon penilty only makes it BS3+, still pretty damn good.

Starting to seem like you really can't go wrong fielding one with any of it's possible ranged loadouts.

Yeah I think it mostly comes down to what the rest of your list has to support it and what role you need it to fill.
