It would appear that GW is getting ready to re-box and possibly bring out new Nurgle models. The Plaguebearers are out of stock/ no longer available and the the nurglings are no where to be found. Is this the hope and an answer to all our wishes or am I being way to optimistic?

No clue. I think it's a good chance (not guaranteed) that Nurgle will be getting a battletome. We know Death Guard are getting an update, and Nurgle Rotbringers are conspicuously absent from the allegiance abilities list in GHB2017

We've also had a few things that can be guaranteed to cross over get namedropped. Beasts of Nurgle, Pestigors, and Maggoths(unridden) mentioned in Dark Imperium and the 40k rulebook.

I think there was also the feet of the Glotkin shown in a 40k shot. As we know, the Glotkin is an AoS specific model so the speculation is a generic new Great Unclean One will be released much as Bloodthirster is to Skarbrand.

I was doubtful of a Nurgle battletome this year until the art came out showing beast of nurgle and guo designs that don't exist in model form. And now we have the GHB2 launching with Nurgle being a very obvious omission from new allegiance abilities. We might not see it this year, but I would bet on the GHB2 hitting with updated point costs for Nurgle listed ahead of the release, like Beastclaws and Bonesplittaz.

It would be wonderful to see a Christmas drop of Nurgle. Whoo hoo bring me something rotten & plague ridden, Santa!

December tends to be a "bundles" month rather than actual new releases.

I expect Nurgle stuff to be October/November, at the latest.

I'm hoping. I was wanting to do a nurgle empire next years campaign... but I don't want to do it without a battletome.

All I know is the nurglings better be coming back, I loved that kit.
