Hey dakka, Im currently feeling like stretching my creative writing muscles again, and writing about my deathwatch army Im crafting from converted Primaris and regular sized kill team veterans, and I had a few questions before I start writing so I don't butcher any fluff...
1. Can Inquisitors switch ordos in their life time? I think I saw somewhere they can
2. If they could not, would an ordo xenos inquisitor be caught dead dressed like the Inqisitor model with pointing bionic arm, plasma pistol, and kinda robes/an overcoat/duster look, instead of power armor?
3: chapter masters and the deathwatch... would it be fluffy to have a sole-survivng member of a chapter also be a chapter master, and also be a regular veteran, instead of a Blackshield? Like, honoring his fallen chapter instead of doing the logical thing of "welp, I'm the last one, better blackshield and join the watch." I plan on writing him rather humble, or at the least very open to the knowlege of marines far younger then he, despite his venerable status and being over 75% bionics. Successor of the Iron Hands. A real "teach this old dog some new tricks" kinda guy, not a "feth you sarge, Im way more experienced, I say we do X")
4. Watch master: I converted a watch master from the Word bearers
HQ guy from betrayal at calth, and to make his
DW pad fit, I shaved away the corner of his cape, so it looks like its draped over what would be his chapter pad at that medallion connector only. Are there any chapters more likely to be "my chapter doesn't really matter, the watch matters" or would him being a blackshield that rose through the ranks make more sense?
And lastly, 5: A primaris marine being recognized by either said ancient chapter master (im picturing him being put in stasis similar to a dread) or a venerable dreadnaught from a legion that is now a fixture of the watch: absolute bullgak or a touching and strange moment? Asume warp shenanigans for the extreme age/longevity of the dread/chapter master
Thank you for any and all input
