So Space Marines is the first new codex. What's after that? Is there any reason to anticipate two a month?

More Marines!
Shiny marines, spikey marines and rusted marines.
And some vague hints of guard and ad mech before the end of the year, but not even a morsel of a hint for anything xenos.
Though theoretically four other books are getting squeezed in.

More space marines. Lucky if any Xenos get a release this year. I really hope they release Xenos stuff all next year (with the usual sprinkling of marines because of course).
This Tau update better be worth it. I hope for a 6+ model release and a rebalanced codex and the fluff better be interesting. I am jonesing for some new models pretty bad.
Also the Deathwatch will likely wait until next year too since if it really is a Xenos year then what better time to release them. I hope they get tech marines as it's the only glaring omission from their lineup now.
As for Dark Eldar I want them to also get a 6+ model release, but that's impossible since they are dark eldar and never get anything almost as much as sisters.
Actually does anyone know if there are model makers out there who make a tech marine look alike?

CSM, GK and DG, IIRC. After those, noone knows. Some people are sharing a 4chan picture with possible AM and Tau for October, Tyranids and Blood Angels for November, Necrons and Thousand Sons by December, but I don't know if this is true.

I doubt Eldar will get left out if they are making a Bugs book. My question is if/how are they going to split them.

I don't want the best army, just one that isn't an exercise in picking up my models by turn 3.

Yeah I'm expecting at least six marine books total this year, possibly all ten released this year will be marines.

For reference it was an extremely small pic of a horse they were claiming was rough riders. This was not even the original rumor person either just the gu who saved that one pic. The pic looks like a rumor picture that GW would host, but it's so generic of a horse it could have easily been faked.
Nothing was mentioned about any other dex leaks.

Or the horse could have been something for Age of Sigmar, rather than 40k.

Well it was completely context less so it could be for anything or even nothing lol. There didn't even seem to be any generic warhammer insignia on it at all from the angle I seen so I doubt it's even anything.

Horses would make sense for the RR, since they're not on GW website and its a rather easy conversion otherwise, I doubt they're a unit GW would leave without a model for long. And like the Attilans were completely different from the Cadians/Catachans, this would allow GW to release new IG units without comitting to Cadians/Catachans or spoiling the new infantry kit that's gonna come out in 20 or so years.

I don't think we really know anything other than GK, CSM, and Death Guard.
We'll still be missing these 4 Marine subfactions from the index: Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Deathwatch. The existence of a standalone GK codex suggests that these will be four separate things, possibly excepting Deathwatch.
The contents of the CSM codex suggest that there will be a Thousand Sons codex at some point, with no immediate plans for other Legion codices. There will be a Daemons codex.
So GW probably can't make every one of the remaining 10-before-Christmas releases some flavor of Marine -- there are only 5 Marine subfactions left with 6 releases to go.
Edit: It's striking that the first four they're releasing come in natural pairs with model releases for one of the pair, maybe usable by the second -- Primaris for Marines and GKs, Death Guard for CSM and DG. It'd be easy to do Guard/[random Imperial subfaction], a pair of Eldar, or Tyranids/Cults in the same way.

Thousand Sons and Sisters of Battle are essentially Egyptian Marines and Female Marines

Sure, if you count Sisters. I'm not sure anyone's going to begrudge them a codex, though. Certainly not if it comes with a Celestine nerf.

I'm not keen this thing is 100% true (the CSM date is one week later there) too.

Xenos stuff to come in drips and drabs, with Craftworlds and Tyranids first.

That's true. You can basically play them all now. I wonder if codex space marine finally consolidates them all into one dex like it should have always been. If your right then it's not out of the question we might see just IoM dexes this year.
